Debian 8.1 Jessie, NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS.

bonjour,

teste réalisé sur Debian Jessie debian-8.1.0-i386-DVD-1.iso, environnement Gnome.

je suis partie en ce moment pour une batterie de testes de pilotes proprios NVIDIA sur Jessie.

un truc qui marche pas trop mal avec cette carte c'est nvidia-glx.

méthode d'installation:

# aptitude install linux-headers-$(uname -r)

# aptitude install nvidia-kernel-dkms nvidia-xconfig

# aptitude install nvidia-settings

à mon obsevation:

# service gdm3 stop

marche pareil que:

# systemctl stop gdm3

retour:

teste sur un noyau 4.2.0-0.bpo.1-686-pae sur GNOME.

marche encore mieux, chez moi !

ctrl+F1

# systemctl stop gdm3

# aptitude purge '~i nvidia'    (attention cette commande supprime tous les paquets nvidia) !

# rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf         (supprime  /etc/X11/xorg.conf) !

# aptitude install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
# aptitude install nvidia-kernel-dkms nvidia-driver

Utiliser des logiciels propriétaires, c'est comme les plats préparés, on est incapable de dire les conservateurs qu'ils contiennent, on dira toujours que c'est bon, mais ça ne remplacera jamais le repas fait maison par sa maman.
